A busy week for me…but not in food. I’ve written 6,000 words on a new manuscript, and I’m loving it. I’m also working on formatting the second book in my trilogy and getting some new covers together. I didn’t pitch as much as I’d like, but I did put some things into the universe, which I’m okay with — hopefully, some of them will come to pass. We also booked tickets to visit Zanzibar at the end of March with our friends, which I’m very excited about.
- Speaks to my heart (avoiding loud restaurants).
- Because I’ve turned into a huge Star Wars fan, why not a cookbook?
- American Baggage, an interesting essay by Ann Street Studio.
- Francis Lam and American food culture.
- What is ultra-processed food? (I probably ingest too much of it).
- Is toothpaste the souvenir you’ve been missing?
- My latest for What’s Cooking UAE.
This weekend we’re heading over to Boca for their wine brunch, hitting the gym, and (of course) meal prepping. Next week I’m getting social again and heading out to Flair No. Five, 7 Elephants, and the Fish House. We’re also considering a little getaway to Ajman next weekend.
What are you up to this weekend? And why is it getting warm already?
