Rosedon Hotel, the best place to enjoy the comforts of home in Bermuda.
Today we welcome a collaborative post from a talented contributor. Enjoy, C. Some places have an amazing ability to take you to where you want to be regardless of where you are. The Rosedon Hotel in Bermuda transfers you from the center of a colorful modern city to a cozy country house in a few minutes. This small boutique hotel with its old-fashioned British charm attracts business travelers and tourists searching for peaceful and quiet leisure. Mr. Alexandr Chetchikov, CEO & Founder of Luxury Lifestyle Awards, couldn’t miss the opportunity to visit and audit the Rosedon Hotel personally. This visit resulted in a confirmation of Rosedon’s high status of a luxury boutique hotel and formed the basis of this review. The elegant British spirit starts from the very beginning of the hotel’s story. Everything started when E.J. Thompson, the citizen of Great Britain, purchased the territory, built the exquisite mansion…
Boho Hotel Prague.
With some comped nights in Prague, I had only one night to find a place for Hubs and me to stay. After looking at some of the smaller properties across the city, the BoHo Hotel Prague caught my attention. Listed as Small Luxury Hotel of the World, I decided not to invest too much further time into my research (remember, I was trying to keep my visit to Prague as spontaneous as possible) and made my booking for one of the upper room categories. Were my instincts correct? Did I make the right choice? Pros Location. I’m beginning to think it’s a bit of a given in Prague (or Brno), but nearly every hotel in these cities are well placed and easy to see the city from. However, if arriving via train, the Boho Hotel is exceptionally close to the station, as well as several tourist locations in the city. We…
The Dylan: A lovely Dublin hotel.
With a press trip to Ireland, I was excited to stay at new hotels. Who am I kidding? I think we’ve already established how much I love a boutique hotel, no matter where in the world it’s located. Enter the Dylan Hotel in Dublin. Tucked into a beautiful area of the city, this was our jumping-off point for many of our adventures with Bord Bia in the country — more on that visit, a separate post will be coming soon! Our flight arrived a bit later than expected, and my room had some major Wifi issues (not what I really wanted, considering it was past 1 AM my time). The team did their best, and for that, I was appreciative (even if I didn’t get online until the following morning, #firstworldproblems). So, what did I like best about the Dylan? What changes would I make? Keep reading to find out!…

Today we welcome a collaborative post from a talented contributor. Enjoy, C. Solo travel is quite popular now, and many people are heading off to destinations on their own. There are various reasons why it’s proving to be a popular experience – many people believe that it’s a great way to find themselves and discover who they truly are. Others do it because none of their friends or family have the money or time to join them. Whatever your reasons for heading out on a solo adventure, though, there is no doubt that it might be a very daunting experience. You will be on your own in a foreign country, after all! Here are a few tips that can make it easier for you. Stay In Hostels Don’t stay cooped up in a hotel room. Instead, you should consider booking a bed in a hostel dorm. Lots of solo travelers…
Booking Your Summer Trip.
Today we welcome a collaborative post from a talented contributor. Enjoy, C. If you are currently taking a look at your options regarding a summer vacation, this blog post has you covered! YOUR HOLIDAY When going on holiday one of the most important decisions you need to make is where you are going to stay in terms of accommodation. Many people would argue that this is the most crucial factor determining whether your vacation is a success or not. After all, if you are not happy with your hotel or cottage, then you aren’t going to enjoy your holiday. Luckily, if you choose a self-catering hotel, the margin for error is extremely unlikely. One of the main benefits you will gain via staying in a self-catering hotel, like Crowne Pointe Provincetown, is flexibility. You are not restricted to the hotels eating times or the food they serve. You don’t have…
Six Senses Zighy Bay, private luxury in Oman.
There are only a few properties within a few hours radius of Dubai that I haven’t visited. Not a humble brag, more that with 12 years in the region, it’s a statement of fact. However, there are two Oman properties which have remained on my list — the Chedi and Six Senses Zighy Bay. Imagine my excitement when I was invited to a dine-around at Six Senses Zighy Bay. Not only would I finally get to check out the resort, but also most of the F&B outlets. We had lunch at the Summer House, breakfast at the Spice Market, and a few tapas at the Zighy Bar — all of which delivered. We also enjoyed a very special dinner at Sense on the Edge, but for that experience, I’ll post a separate review. For those who haven’t been to Zighy Bay, it’s about a two-hour drive from Dubai (stopping at the border at…
Soneva Fushi: Barefoot in paradise.
One of the best things about living in the UAE is our easy access to tropical destinations on the Indian Ocean — Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Zanzibar, Mauritius, and of course, the Maldives. In this island nation, there are numerous resorts and hotels to choose from. While nothing is, let’s say, in the realm of ‘affordable,’ I think dream destinations are always good for bucket lists and what not. So, I’ll assume that the price tag hasn’t scared you off. Now, my previous two trips to the Maldives involved overwater villas. When reviewing our trip to Soneva Fushi, I was (of course) excited, but also interested — how would it go? Could I be swayed to villa living? View this post on Instagram From the UAE to the Maldives… I can’t wait to share @discoversoneva Soneva Fushi with you, starting with this beautiful shot from the island. #nonewsnoshoes #slowlife…
Intercontinental Hotel, Sofia.
I think we can establish that I’m not particularly brand loyal when it comes to travel. In fact, I’m much more likely to try a boutique hotel, or book an Airbnb than I am to build points or nights with any one chain. While Hubs and I do travel on a frequent basis, for many of the places we go, I never feel like I want to be tied to a specific brand. Enter, the Intercontinental Sofia. To start, we were fortunate to make the booking via our friend Dan (who you might know from the Emireati). He also happens to be the Ambassador level with the brand. For more of the perks, read here (and no, this is not an affiliate link). So, how did the hotel wow me? Double upgrade. Of the (many) benefits that being a certain level of Ambassador with the brand gets you, for certain…
