Another weirdly busy week (not that I’m complaining)! I was the mistress of ceremonies for my first official event, went to a very strange Italian meal, got caught up on many of my reviews, and did my best to prepare for presentations and panels coming up in October. I also have no idea when I’m ever going to get back to my poor manuscript…
- Might be the cutest little video (featuring food).
- Do you need a blanket when you’re dining out? (You aren’t alone).
- Your guide to salt.
- How movie theaters evolved to become restaurants.
- Learning lessons from charging for chips and salsa.
- Why can’t I just say ‘tasty?’ A further look at being a food writer.
- Is some food more ‘authentic’ than other foods?
- Do you read menus before visiting a restaurant? (Spoiler alert: I always do!)
This weekend sees me at Roberto’s for brunch (I’ve heard good things), then, even though I’m not supposed to be going out this much, with a late invitation to Kizmet for a wine tasting dinner on Saturday, it was very difficult for me to say no. Similarly, there’s another vintner dinner on Sunday at Alici (!) that I also couldn’t say no to and an exciting pop up next Thursday night at Tresind Studio. It’s official, the season is well upon us.
What are you up to this weekend?
