September 2018 To Do List. — A TO ZA’ATAR

September 2018 To Do List.

September 2018 To Do List.

I saw this concept on another blog, and I decided, why not?  I’m already list oriented, so let’s see if this is a feature I keep up with!

So, what exactly do I need to do in September?

  • Prep for our trip to the Maldives!  Yes, we’re leaving on September 20th and I’m super excited to visit Soneva Fushi for Hubs’ birthday.  It’s been a while since we visited together, so I’m really looking forward to our visit.  I’ve heard nothing but great things about the property, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts about it after we visit.
  • Keep on Keto.  Hubs and I started our Keto diet upon returning from Sofia last week, and I guess it’s going okay.  I still am craving carbs like it’s my job, but I do think I’ve lost weight (no, I don’t own a scale, so I can’t be 100% sure).  One thing I will say is that committing to a diet plan has made me much more aware of what I’ve been eating/preparing.  We just did a huge cook this afternoon and the fridge is full of keto compliant food for the week.
  • Don’t curse on the radio.  I’ve been asked to join Dubai Eye 103.8 during their afternoon show twice a month, to discuss food and travel, and I can’t wait!  Every time I go on the radio, my biggest fear is that I’m going to accidentally curse (I cuss a lot IRL), so here’s hoping I keep expletives off the air.  I’ll let you know a bit closer to my first broadcast, and hopefully, you can tune in.
  • Gym, laundry, repeat.  One thing about being on a diet is matching with a bit of exercise.  With all the travel I’ve had recently, it’s been a bit stop and start, I’m ready to keep up a 4 or 5 day a week gym schedule (at least until we leave for the Maldives).  Even if we don’t make it to the gym, there’s still plenty of activities to do at home.
  • Pitch city. Some days are better than others, but there are a bunch of conferences I’ve been collecting and it’s time to get out there as a speaker.  Any recommendations are welcome.
  • Get to a few Dubai restaurants.  Honestly, since my visit to Tresind, I really haven’t been out in the city.  I’d really like to try someplace new.
  • Visit Abu Dhabi or RAK.  With some good hotel offers on the table, I’ve got three potential properties to review in other emirates this month.  It’s all a matter of timing.
  • A surprise trip to Zurich?  Hubs is supposed to go for work, so I’m considering sneaking away the week after next.  Let’s see if things work out!  Keep your fingers crossed.

What are your goals for this month?
