December 2018 To Do List. — A TO ZA’ATAR

December 2018 To Do List.

December 2018 To Do List.

And here we are at the end of not only the month but also the year!  2018 had some highs and lows, but I can say I’m optimistic for 2019 and where things will go.  November ended up being a wonderfully productive month — Hubs and I managed to do some adulting, including going to the dentist and getting our cars serviced. #nextlevel

Okay, then, what do I need to accomplish this month?

  • Be more judicious about accepting invites.  I’ve really strayed from my ‘only one night a week’ promise, and I’m often feeling the toll of my decisions.  It’s fine to go out, and for most of the events, there’s a tangible goal to achieve, however, I think I need to focus better on what is one of a kind, and what will invoke the most JOMO.
  • Get back on the bike.  Flywheel only discounts their packages once a year, and I’ve got my booking in place for Monday already locked.  Getting older and having a slower metabolism is a real thing, and the only way to combat it is exercise.  While I’ve still been fairly faithful to my intermittent fasting, I could definitely use a boost.
  • Start locking down some trips/stays/reviews for 2019.  As of now, the only thing I’ve got on the calendar is my bi-weekly date at Dubai Eye and my weekly volunteering session at K9 Friends – and I’d really like to finish the month of December with some concrete dates in the diary.
  • My best of list.  Yes, it’s time for my top three dining experiences in 2018.  It’s not been quite the same caliber of dining that 2017 was, but there were still plenty of memorable meals.
  • Edit.  My Louvre manuscript is still in bad shape (I’m on page 110 out of 200 something), and I’m hoping for a swoosh of inspiration to kick it into shape.
  • Abu Dhabi.  Okay really, it’s been far too long since I’ve been to the capital.  I’m hoping to get to both the new Andaz, and hopefully the Edition as well.  Let’s see!
  • Get paid.  I’ve got a few pending and outstanding payments for 2018 – it’s in my best interest to send reminders.

What’s on your list for the end of 2018?  Any pending projects you need to finish up?  Anything you’re looking ahead to accomplishing in 2019?
