Perfect Destinations For Any Foodie! — A TO ZA’ATAR

Perfect Destinations For Any Foodie!

Perfect Destinations For Any Foodie!

Today we welcome a collaborative post from a talented contributor.  Enjoy, C.

First of all, there are so many great reasons to travel!  After all, traveling allows you to discover surprising new places, do things that you never thought you would do, and open your mind to experiences that otherwise, you would never have the chance to have.  It truly is one of the great privileges of life to be able to travel.  However, there is one reason which doesn’t get brought up that often despite it being one of the most significant reasons why a lot of people end up traveling to somewhere new in the first place: food!  There are few things more enjoyable than getting to experience a new culinary experience that you might never have imagined.  With that in mind, here are just a few places that are not only amazing destinations in their own right but are also genuinely perfect places for the ideal foodie vacation.

Dubai

Dubai is a city with so much to recommend, that trying to narrow it down to just a few things can be a fairly significant challenge.  However, if you’re looking for one reason to visit Dubai over just about any other, the food is most certainly worth trying out.  The wonderful thing is just how diverse the food there is.  If you want some incredibly down-home cooking, then Doors Freestyle Grill in Dubai should be your first stop.  But at the same time, if you want some real luxury dining, then one of Dubai’s many hotels have you covered.  (And, as it’s my hometown, here’s a list of many other places I’ve reviewed).

The Philippines

The Philippines is one of those places that a lot of people don’t immediately think of when it comes to both traveling or food, which is made all the more unreasonable when you find out it’s an absolute delight for both! Manila, in particular, is a true street food mecca that can rival even the best street food in more popular places like Thailand.  There are few places in the world where getting a taste of the local flavor is this good.

France

Sure, it might be a little bit obvious, but there are a lot of people who tend to give France a miss on their culinary adventures because they consider it to be too obvious.  The truth is that France’s reputation for food is incredibly well deserved.  It’s not just Paris either.  There are places all over France where you can experience some of the most breathtaking cuisines in the world, often paired with some wonderful French wines.

The reality is that you can find amazing and unique culinary experiences pretty much anywhere in the world.  The key is to make an effort actually to go out and find them.  If you stick to big chains with obvious choices then it’s not going to matter where you go, you’re just going to get stuck in a position where you’re just eating the same kinds of things that you could get at home.  After all, a Big Mac is going to taste exactly the same no matter where you go so what’s the point of going halfway across the world just for that?

What’s your favorite country to dine in?
