When planning our trip to Australia, the #1 item on our list was access to the Great Barrier Reef. Hubs, an avid scuba diver, is coming up on his 40th birthday and this trip (specifically to dive the reef was high on the list). One can access the Reef through a number of companies (either in nearby Cairns or Port Douglas). We booked into Port Douglas, and even though I hadn’t done a ton of research before our arrival, I’m so glad we ended up in this charming coastal town. If you look up ‘oldie but a goodie’ I’m certain this restaurant will show up somewhere in the mix. And if you haven’t specifically been to Port Douglas, I’m certain there is a similar restaurant in your favorite holiday town.
