The great thing about having a husband who’s into diving (even if you personally tried and failed epically) is that you get to visit a lot of beach destinations.  In this instance, with Hubs on his way to becoming a Dive Master, he is in need of some additional certifications and hours in the water.  He usually goes out with Al Boom Marine, who tender from Fujairah and tends to drive up and back on the same day.  However, with my interest in the recently opened Intercontinental Fujairah, it was easy to say yes to a staycation instead.  While I previously stayed at (and was impressed by) the Fairmont Fujairah, for this weekend visit, we decided on something new. As spread out as I feel Abu Dhabi is, I’ve tended to focus my attention on venues located on the main island, near the corniche, Saadiyat Island, or Yas Island.  Always wanting to expand my experience, I was happy to accept an invitation to stay at the Park Rotana Abu Dhabi and review not only Teatro, but also the property in general. I’ll be honest, I went into this review expecting a dated property.  I hate to judge a book by its cover (especially since I’m an author), but imagine how surprised I was to walk into a sleek lobby with tons of natural light, modern flower arrangements, and a stately color palate. I recently was fortunate enough to travel to Nepal.  The trip was a number of years in the making, and the visit surpassed my expectations.  Our first stop was to Kathmandu (a relatively easy flight from DWC on Flydubai, should you be interested).  We arranged things through our friend’s company Unique Waymaker Treks & Expeditions (which I highly recommend), who picked us up at the airport (after the chaos that is arrivals into KTM) and we were off to Dwarika’s! Dwarika’s had long been on my radar, and on arrival, I was certainly glad to see that the earthquake had not impacted the memorable exterior or any of the interior.  Warmly welcomed, the check in process was an easy one.
