So, my week ‘off’ has been a success. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed not writing or editing, but I think it’s time to get back to a manuscript. Honestly, it feels like something is missing in my day. I have a relatively clear schedule next week to get started, and a novel that’s in need of moving to a final draft.

In other news, Dubai is back! I received the most amount of invitations since March, and I’m booked through the end of the month. This week saw me visiting Claw BBQ with the Bookers (come for the margaritas, stay for the people watching and overheard loo conversations), a trip to Tresind to see Chef Himanshu and Helen in conjunction with Dubai Summer Surprises (thanks to the team for sending me home with some treats for Hubs), and back to BOCA to try some upcoming dishes for the menu (the mushroom risotto is insanely good). I also stopped into Penrose Lounge for a quick meeting and had both Pinsanity and a delicious olive oil cake from London Dairy Cafe delivered. Finally, I was approached by African + Eastern to partner with Carlsberg and their Hops for Hops program (look for more of this next week).

A side note for brands and those who manage social media. If an account tags you with the most minor of incorrect information, it’s probably best not to respond negatively towards them. For a restaurant to say something when they should have said nothing, well, what used to be a neutral view of them is now a decidedly negative one! #vaguepostisvague

Links, please?

This weekend we’re over to our younger besties for a chill. I’m having Palazzo Versace deliver high tea on Saturday (!), and I might also sneak over to the VIP sale at Hotelity. It’s been a minute since I’ve been to the Pointe, and I have plans to visit KYO next week. Otherwise, it’s time to get back to my books.
