In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past ten or more years, you might not have heard of Magnolia Bakery, a transplant from New York and one of the originators of the cupcake frenzy that took place at the end of the aughts. I assume the fad is over, but Magnolia remains standing, and with good reason. If you are in the mood for anything luxuriously sweet and beautifully presented (honestly, just try and walk away from the frosting, I dare you), then Magnolia Bakery is a sure bet to satisfy your sweet tooth. The menu is fairly standard and straightforward (with the addition of specialty cakes run monthly), but I think everyone has their favorites.
