Best of the year and best of the month? That’s a lot of pressure for December! There were some standouts this month, and it was a great way to finish the year. 2018 has a lot to live up to if it’s going to be as good as 2017 (well, for food at least). In no particular order: Dynamite Bao from BB Social Dining Rib Eye from Cabin Creamy Mushroom Rice from Bord Eau An honorable mention goes to the outstanding Short Rib started at Axe House (well worth stopping in for). I also enjoyed the Wagyu at Center Cut, but overall, I’m happy to stand by the above dishes. What were your favorite dishes this month?

]]>Let me start by admitting something to all of you; I had purposely been saving this venue for a special occasion. Knowing I was in for something unique, I specifically avoided dining at The Experience by Reif Othman until I had something suitable on the calendar. If Hubs’ 40th birthday wasn’t a good enough excuse, I’m not sure what else would qualify. Fortunately, having dined at Play and a few other outings with Chef Reif, I was able to send a message through Instagram and make the booking directly with him for our party of six. /humblebrag For those not acquainted with the restaurant, The Experience is located on the 37th floor of the H Hotel (home to Zahira, Play, and Moombai & Co., among other venues). ]]>Welcoming guest blogger, The New Glitterati, to the team! The fact I was invited to this dinner (and instead went to Social) makes me super sad — it clearly would have been worth the trip. And a warning, do not read while hungry!! Overview Abu Dhabi is not particularly known for its Italian food, and it’s certainly not a go-to for us. Circo is tucked down in the InterContinental next to the Belgian Cafe and the first thing we saw, aside from the well-executed circus-themed decor, was the gleaming “Time Out Abu Dhabi – Best Italian, 2015” plaque proudly placed by the entrance.
