Wow wow wow! What a month. I’m not even sure really where to get started, but I’ll try my best
(especially since I am epically behind on posting coverage of my trip to Thailand).
In a month full of insane competition, but in no particular order:
- Egg Yolk Tart, by Chef Julien Royer (of Odette, #34 on Asia’s Top 50 Restaurants)
- Spatzle, at Sühring (#13 on Asia’s Top 50 Restaurants)
- Kradook Moo Aob, at Issaya (#21 on Asia’s Top 50 Restaurants)
Don’t get me wrong, my UAE meals were perfectly nice in February (shout out to the Lobster Mac & Cheese at the Copper Lobster), but there is something about world’s best plates I really enjoyed and aren’t on offer in the Emirates. There’s still plenty to share from my week in Bangkok (and I might be jumping the gun as I will be going to Lima this evening), but I’ll leave you with the final dish at Sühring (the egg nog was so good we had three portions).
